Status of Women Canada has asked each of us to #claimyourplace on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook to "celebrate the courageous women and girls who inspire you to #ClaimYourPlace.
Join the conversation on social media by using the hashtag #ClaimYourPlace and share photos, videos and words of inspiration."

Merna Forster is one of those inspiring Canadian women. Do visit her site right now - Heroines.ca A Guide to Women in Canadian History: http://www.heroines.ca

It doesn't appear the British Columbia government is interested this year (or last), but you might like to see the previous years' handouts.

If you know of other women's history events coming up, please let me know. Thanks!

Edited 10 Oct. 2017 - event added.
